Artistic Director - Dr. Michael Huff |
Dr. Michael Huff is the Artistic Director and Conductor of Utah’s newest choir, Utah Voices, and Artistic Director of The Festival of Gold™ Series (operated by Heritage Festivals). He is also on the faculty of the University of Utah School of Music, and is Immediate Past-President of the Utah Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). An accomplished pianist, conductor, arranger, and event producer, he spent over a decade as Associate Conductor and Principal Accompanist for the Utah Symphony Chorus, as Music Director of the South Davis Civic Chorale and Orchestra, and is in steady demand as a conductor, pianist, clinician, adjudicator, and teacher. His reputation as an inspiring and innovative conductor is growing, and he has led Honor Ensembles and All-State Choirs in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Missouri, California, Chicago, Boston, and Vermont. This season he will speak at the Vermont Music Educator’s Conference, and will lead Oregon’s “Music In May” Festival Choir.
Equally at home with instrumental music, Dr. Huff has led orchestras, bands, jazz bands, rock bands, and country bands. He has been the producer and director of the annually televised Liberty Bowl Halftime Finale in Memphis, Tennessee since 1989, where he has worked with major artists: B.B. King, Three Dog Night, Cybill Shepherd, Little Richard, The Beach Boys, Lee Greenwood, Clint Black, Alabama, LeAnn Rimes, and Sara Evans. He has also arranged music for and produced shows at the Sugar Bowl (New Orleans), Gator Bowl (Jacksonville, FL), Alamo Bowl (San Antonio), Poinsettia Bowl (San Diego), Copper Bowl (Tucson), and Las Vegas Bowl.
Dr. Huff holds music degrees from the University of Utah, and Arizona State University. His professional life has taken him nearly around the world, and to stages in many of the world’s great musical capitals.
He and his wife, Susan, are the parents of six thriving children.

Associate Conductor & Principal Accompanist - Kelly DeHaan |
Kelly DeHaan is Associate Conductor and Principal Accompanist for Utah Voices. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in choral education and choral conducting from the University of Utah. Kelly has been teaching high school choir at his beloved West Jordan High School since 1997 and is devoted to his students. He has been selected 2009/2010 UHSAA Music Educator of the Year.
Shortly after receiving his BA, Kelly was recruited to be the Assistant Conductor and Accompanist for the Utah Symphony Chorus. Kelly has been seen on stage at many of the local theaters in the Salt Lake Valley. He has also musically directed many shows at the Grand Theater, the Hale Centre Theatre, and at the Conference Center Theater.
Kelly is a sought after vocal teacher and coach. He is a respected clinician and accompanist, and has been on the selection committee for the Young Performing Missionaries in Nauvoo Illinois. Kelly is also a busy studio musician, and has sung several seasons with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. In 2005, he had the distinct honor of being the conductor for the 16,000-voice LDS Church Day of Celebration Choir. Kelly has been conducting the Sterling Singers, a high quality community choir, since 1996, and has prepared and performed many major works, including the debut of Crawford Gates’ “Joseph, Joseph”.

Associate Accompanist - Natalie Campbell |
Natalie Campbell studied music at the University of Utah where she earned Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in piano performance. She was a four-year recipient of the music department’s Gerald R. Tracy scholarship. Natalie’s teachers included Dr. Susan Duehlmeier and Gladys Gladstone Rosenberg. While at the University Natalie accompanied the Concert Chorale and taught on the Piano Preparatory Division Faculty teaching private piano lessons and Kindermusik classes.
In 1991 Natalie was the winner of the University of Utah Piano Division Concerto Competition, and in 1992 Natalie won first place in the Senior Division of the Utah State Fair Music Competition.
She and her husband, Todd, are the parents of five children.
